Snowshed Wall
(AKA: The Ice Park)
Donner Summit, CA
All of the photos were shot at the "Ice
Park" as we called it. Located at Donner Summit
at the Snowshed Wall climbing area. It was commonly
said to be some of the best ice climbing in California.
The climbing was great while it lasted and had an
incredible impact on the locals, visitors, and also
the tourists just driving by for a view. On a bad
note, it had a big impact on the rock/environment
and also with the Tahoe National Forest folks. So
the winter of 1997 will be one to be remembered. Below
are some photos to help remember the good times!
